Katayoon was born in Tehran, Iran in 1966. Right after the revolution in her country, her father decided to move the family to England and in two years after, to the United States to join relatives in Dallas, Texas. Katayoon completed her education in 1988 at University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the same year got married and moved to California. She started her career in 1988 in Cosmetics as an Assistant Manager, and after 7 years was introduced to the Spa world at which point she began to manage a few spas including Spa Nordstrom. In 2005 Katayoon accepted her first hospitality job as a Director of Spa Operations in two luxury hotels in Santa Monica. In 2015 she decided to shift from Spa to the hotel management. Katayoon has held a few positions in a couple of Luxury hotels, as an Acting GM, Director of Hotel Operations and Food & Beverage Director. Katayoon started her transformational work in 2001 and was involved with the program until 2019.
