DOMKcast with Ivory Blue

High praise from some familiar names in regards the music of Ivory Blue. A new artist with a story of perseverance. Ran away from home at the young age of 15 and ended up in Kansas City. Along the way playing local coffee shops and any other place that was interested. The tail of a struggling artist out on the road trying to find a home. Ended up in Kansas City and decided to enter the Next2Rock Contest in L.A. Made it to the finals at the legendary Viper Room and played in front of some big names like Gavin Rosdale of Bush and John Varvatos. Taking home the honors and winning it all, Ivory Blue’s career would take on a new life. Gavin Rosdale described Ivory as a true artist. John Varvatos said “"Wow, I've been waiting for the wow and you are the wow.”. Ultimately signing to John Varvatos record label BMLG and is working with him in Nashville.

The journey to get this point has been challenging overcoming obstacles along the way. Deciding to drop out of High School and move to Florida. Ivory Blue recalls turning to Eminem’s album “Encore” for a release, listening to that album constantly and memorizing the lyrics. One of the first artists to come out as a non binary transgender.
