Bauhaus Bassist David J Latest Solo Album, "What The Patrons Heard"

David J is the iconic bass player and a founding member of one of the most influential bands, BAUHAUS . The Band spearheaded the post-punk alternative music scene of the early 80s with a string of innovative albums and singles, including a song that is ranked as a classic, the pinnacle of the goth subculture, "Bela Lugosi's Dead" featuring the lyrics of David J. The song was also featured in Tony Scott's classic vampire film, The Hunger.\\xa0 The British post-punk pioneers just released their first new song in over a decade called "Drink The New Wine" in celebration of their first full North American tour in 16 years, making an appearance at the Cruel World Festival, followed by shows in the US and more starting in May.\\xa0

David J released his debut solo album "Etiquette of Violence" in 1983 while then forming the successful Love and Rockets in 1985. As a highly acclaimed songwriter, he continues to collaborate with various authors, poets and musicians and continues to produce his trademark brand of deeply heartfelt and darkly sophisticated music.\\xa0

His latest album, via Give/Take record label is called "What the Patrons Heard," is a storied collection of originals and brilliant covers recorded over the timespan of 34 years. These ten literate and impassioned songs were originally only available in digital format to David J's Patreon subscribers. "What the Patrons Heard" marks the first time these songs are available to the general public.
