She joined the Fellowship of Australian Writers in 1933 and the Sydney P.E.N. Club in 1935, where she encouraged many young writers. All in all Miles was committed to the development of a uniquely Australian form of literature, and she actively pursued this goal by supporting writers, literary journals, and writers\' organisations. Franklin is best known for her autobiographical novel, "My Brilliant Career." Franklin\'s other major literary success "All That Swagger" wasn\'t published until 136.
