About my guest: 

Jamal Mayers began his hockey career in 1996-97 with the St. Louis Blues for ten seasons before moving on to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, San Jose Sharks, and finally winning a Stanley Cup in 2013 with the Chicago Blackhawks. Mayers represented Canada three times at the World Championship (2000, 2007, 2008), which included helping Canada win the gold medal in 2007 and the silver medal in 2008. Mayers played college hockey at Western Michigan University from 1992-1996 and graduated with a Business degree. His new children's book, ''Hockey Is For Me,'' in which he encourages other kids to fall in love with the sport that helped him achieve so much throughout his life is now available on NHL.com
