Known for selflessly sacrificing his body on the ice for the greater good of the team, Former Chicago Blackhawk Stanley Cup Champion Brent Sopel is a fearless defender. Brent's personal journey in hockey has directed him towards a path of advocating for others who are struggling with similar obstacles. As a result, Brent started the Brent Sopel Foundation with the mission to champion Dyslexia and Dysgraphia Awareness. ​His documentary Here to Change the World is now available on Youtube.

About my guest: 

Brent Sopel is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played the majority of his career in the National Hockey Leauge (NHL). Sopel was originally selected 144th overall at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, the organization he began his NHL career with. He has also played for the New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, winning the Stanley Cup in 2010 with the Chicago Blackhawks.
