Coming Home to Self

Published: June 22, 2020, 5 a.m.

For three decades of my life what makes sense was to lash out and run away when things are tough. I didn’t know how to deal with my thoughts and emotions that tend to always become overwhelming. Running away seems to allow me to avoid having to face what I didn’t know how to embrace. At least for a moment, it is enough time to come up for air before I find myself sinking, yet again.

I began to desire healing, deliverance, and freedom from childhood traumas. In my pursuit for wholeness my navigator has lead me to Self. What I was seeking— love, peace, and joy is found when I choose to stop running away, and finally decide to Come Home to Self.
