A New Record Blue Catfish Has Been Caught
There is a new record breaking catfish in Ohio. The giant blue catfish was caught by 15 year-old high school sophomore Jaylynn Parker. The fish was caught while jug fishing with her family on the Ohio River.
\nOnce certified this could become the new state record for a blue catfish in Ohio. The potential new record caught by Jaylynn Caught was 101 pounds, and it was released alive after being weighed on certified scales by Ohio Department of Wildlife.
\nThis new record 101 pound catfish eclipses the previous Ohio blue catfish record of 96 pounds.
