heyall….. This weeks episode features some of my 45's, 78's and LP's.....starting off with our opening salvo.....followed by the cut we faded out on the last show Gabor Szabo - Spellbinder off of the LP of the same name / Impulse 1966...….A Scoop Nisker audio file from an LP called CURRENT...….followed by the Rolling Stones - Miss Amanda Jones...great rhythm guitar from the Keith-ster on this one......The Rationals chime in with a cover of Eddie Holland's - Leavin' Here. The Rationals 3rd 45 and possibly one of their best? Don't get it confused with the rerecorded version which falls pretty flat...…..Bobby "Blue" Bland the triple B of the blues with Loan A Helping Hand from a 78rpm on the Duke Label / 1958. Set 2 - Frankie Lee Sims - She likes to boogie real low / Vin 1957..just what the f**k was he talkin about?.....Brian Jonestown Massacre [what an inspired name for Anton Newcome's band of merry pranksters] - Going to hell / 1998 / TVT Records...….Kinks - Love me till the sun shines / Reprise 1967. Ray's brother gots chops! ……. Jeff Beck Group - Becks Bolero / Epic 1968 / Mono courtesy of Sundazed Rekids…..From the Pretenders Box we finish off the set with Precious / Regent Park Demo. Set 3 Spirit - Uncle Jack / Ode 1968. Their 1st LP shows what a terrific songwriter Jay Ferguson was...WTF happened? Jo Jo Gunne? Really?...….Charlie Rich the silver fox busts in with "Another place that I can't go" on Sam Phillip's "Phillips International" label / 1962. Find it, cherish it, it won't be expensive......The Butterfield Blues Band - I got a mind to give up living and go shopping instead...pick me up a tombstone and be pronounced dead....wow and woo woo! …..Mighty Baby - Egyptian Tomb / Head 1969. Great record / terrible cover art = a keeper. The late great Martin Stone on guitar...they rose out of the ashes of 60's beat band The Action. Set 4 This could be a forgotten 45 / The Troggs - Feels like a woman / Pye 1972. I got this killer 45 from Miss Jennifer Taboo a DJ goddess from Spain. L8erG8ters.....
