Episode 57: "Southside Legends" (w/ DTheFlyest, BTL Dre & BTL Veiga)

Published: Feb. 15, 2021, 5 a.m.

Over the past few years Brockton, MA has been getting a lot of press–and not the type of press some residents of this city just south of Boston is used to getting. There have been many Rap/Hip-Hop movements coming out of Brockton and surrounding areas but there hasn't been one with such viral nature like the one led by the melodic Trap artist, DTheFlyest. Bandits The Label has made a name for themselves locally and nationally and has let us all know they're here to stay–in a major fashion.

In 2019 we were all excited about a record by DTheFlyest called "Fugazi" which featured ATL Trap crooner and superstar Lil Baby! The timing of that record was so crucial and fundamental to the growth and identity of the BTL brand and MA as a music scene, amongst other movements. The video to the record has amassed over 21 Million views on Youtube confirming the validity of the song and the chemistry the two artist shared. That was the same year DTheFlyest dropped his project "Dope Boy Diaries" which some have dubbed his best body of work. This is the same year his label mate BTL Dre dropped his stellar EP "South Side Baby". Dre gave us a piece of his heart on this 7 track project which has what seems like 7 hits back to back!

Join us as we welcome Bandits The Label to the podcast for the first time and have DTheFlyest, BTL Dre, and their manager Fab (Veiga) share a piece if South Side Brockton and explain why they are legends from their neighborhood. Unfortunately there was no #RedCupsAndRap segment this week but this conversation was engagement from start to finish!

BE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL OF DTheFlyest's & BTL DRE's WORK AVAILABLE ON ALL DSPs!
