Holiday Illness - How Consumers have been failed

In this Podcast I talk about how UK Holiday Consumers have had their access to holiday rights trimmed. Why did the government take this action? Well, it was because over several years, a narrative within UK newspapers and amongst some politicians, argued against the so-called 'Compensation Culture' and presented wild claims of wholesale fraud being committed by Consumers. I examine the rationale behind those claims and reveal that laws have been changed, because less than 1% of all claims were apparently claimed to be fraudulent. It is a masterclass in how media manipulation and political agenda can deliver real Consumer detriment!
