Major Hollywood films, including Star Wars and Ghostbusters, that attempted a shift into social justice and woke culture were rejected by audiences, including by long-term fans. Films that were expected to be major blockbuster hits turned out to be flops, and film studios took note. The studios are now abandoning overt social justice agendas to better reflect what audiences want. The late Andrew Breitbart once said that\xa0politics\xa0is downstream from culture. So does this shift in culture tell us something about possible changes in politics? Was the market rejection of these films really about their social justice themes? And can this change tell us something about the direction of the country? To answer some of these questions, we spoke with Bill Whittle, news commentator and host of The Bill Whittle Show.
