The World Health Organization is now working to get global authority to manage pandemics. And in their new guidelines on the \u201cPreparedness and Resilience for Emerging Threats,\u201d the infodemic is back.
It states that as a form of \u201ccommunity protection,\u201d it needs a form of \u201cinfodemic management,\u201d as well as \u201ccollaborative surveillance.\u201d It states, \u201cInfodemic cannot be eliminated it can only be managed. This is why WHO and partners have developed the approach of infodemic management,\u201d armed with new capabilities for the job. It describes these as \u201ctools and approaches for social listening,\u201d including artificial intelligence that monitors social media, as well as other systems such as experts for \u201ccommunity engagement.\u201d
