Russia is threatening to invade Ukraine, and has already been building up its military along the border. A Russian lawmaker is stating that a war may be necessary, and U.S. Secretary of State Blinken is warning of a “severe response” if the threats are carried through. As this happens, the United States has begun supplying Ukraine with weapons, and other nations are showing mixed signals on which side they will stand.
Meanwhile, D.C.’s Homeland Security & Emergency Management under Mayor Muriel Bowser posted an alert on Twitter, stating: “If you’re hitting the grocery store to prepare for winter weather, please just buy what you need and leave some for others! You may have noticed empty shelves in some stores due to national supply chain issues, but there is no need to buy more than you normally would.” This is raising concerns that the supply chain crisis is hitting closer to home on basic goods.
In this live Q&A with Crossroads host Joshua Philipp we’ll discuss these stories and others, and answer questions from the audience.
