The Jan. 6 Committee is preparing its public hearings, where it plans to present evidence on the protests at the U.S. Capitol. Yet The New York Times offered a different take, suggesting the hearings are less about justice and more about politics, with a focus on trying to shift votes for the midterm elections. It stated, \u201cWith their majority at stake, Democrats plan to use the six high-profile hearings to refocus voters\u2019 attention on Republicans\u2019 role in the attack.\u201d

Meanwhile, a criminal case has been reopened involving Clinton adviser Mark Middleton, who killed himself and who had admitted Jeffrey Epstein to the White House seven times. The family of Middleton is attempting to prevent information on his death from being released publicly, since they allege it can lead to conspiracy theories.

And in other news, the world is heading into a food crisis, according to a report from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the United Nations World Food Programme. Part of this is causing a rise in food prices, especially of meat. But organizations including the World Economic Forum claim to have a solution to both food shortages and the environmental impact of meat: eating bugs.
