Boston University is being criticized for creating a new COVID strain that showed an 80 percent kill rate in mice. Experts said the researchers were \u201cplaying with fire\u201d by risking the outbreak of a lab-made pandemic. The NIH, meanwhile, has said it was unaware of the research, and took steps to distance itself from the controversy.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has set in motion a new strategy for future pandemics and biological threats. The National Biodefense Strategy states that the United States must address the \u201caccidental release of biological agents, and threats posed by terrorist groups or adversaries seeking to use biological weapons.\u201d

And in other news, new findings are emerging on the attack on Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Evidence suggests the attacker was not \u201cfar right,\u201d and instead had far-left views. The attack is also highlighting double standards in political narratives from key influencers.
