After the FBI raided former President Donald Trump\u2019s home at Mar-a-Lago under allegations he was holding classified documents, public calls for investigations or even the abolition of the FBI are growing. Amidst this, however, a separate concern is growing that this anger could work as a \u201ctrap,\u201d and that it could be used to justify increased surveillance or persecution against Americans under a broadening definition of \u201cdomestic terrorism.\u201d
Meanwhile, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) declared an end to key COVID-19 recommendations, including on quarantine, screenings, and vaccinations. The announcement quickly followed the Mar-a-Lago raid.
