We are bringing together 100 events will be hosted at Glasgow\\u2019s Tramway and Hidden Gardens on Tuesday 8th March, including: speakers, story tellers, visual art, dance, music, film, and a massive amount of knitting. We are trying to provoke Scotland into asking questions regarding women in 2011 by collectively knitting between 60 and 100 million stitches to exhibit as a backdrop to this event. Demographer\'s have shown that there are between 60 million and 100 million females missing from today\'s global population. "Half the Sky" investigates the oppression of women globally.
