Picture a tree that was wider than a midsize car and as tall as a ten-story building.  Now picture a 3.5 billion of them stretching across the Appalachian region.  The American Chestnut once dominated this landscape but completely disappeared in less than a couple of decades.  Join us as we explore what happened to this tree and how it's making a comeback.
