I've been getting back to basics lately, to the core beliefs that make a writer. Language has to have meaning and value for a writer. It's our medium. But does it really? In a world where politicians, sales pros, gurus, celebrities, and everyone else trades word meanings for convenience is there still really meaning to words. Or are they really the harmless things of our old sticks and stones rhyme?
