Love Yourself, or Why I Stopped Getting Up at 4 AM to Write

I used to get up at four in the morning so I had plenty of time to write, think, and work undisturbed. Why? Because my writing was the most important thing ever. Everyone says you need to start your day with the most important stuff first.

At least they do in the hyper-productivity cult.

Then I had a mental breakdown and almost quit being a writer. And I was forced to admit something. My writing isn't the most important thing in my day...I am.

Join me for another episode of Confessions of a Working Writer Season 4, where I pick up the pieces, get back to work, and pull back the curtain on living a life where you're chasing a dream.
