According to the CDC, 150 people die every day from fentanyl-related overdoses. Annually, this is the equivalent of a 737 commercial airplane crashing every day. Yet despite this horrific reality, it has become something that has been swept under the rug, or used by politicians as a way of fear-mongering to win votes. The idea, the inkling of a real conversation, is fiercely debated, and now tossed aside unless it is used for optics. In this episode, we are joined by an activist, Moses Santana, who has been advocating for one of the highly debated responses to this health crisis: overdose prevention. We discuss questions whether the use use of tactics like the availability of Narcan or clinics, will really save lives and solve this devastating problem. \n\nCoffee And A Car Ride info:\nTwitter: @CoffeeAndACarR1 email:\ncarcoffee8@gmail.com\nApple podcast: https:/podcasts.apple.com/us/ podcast/ coffee-and-a-car-ride/id1532064488\nSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/ 6k3X7X4E4mx41R37f+FCwL?\nsi=PQDWYkogRD618Ss3KS_ZNg\nTo leave a voice message: https://anchor.fm/lou-\nford1/message\nYouTube: https://youtube.com/@louford73022\nsi=tLv5gMViisY1toQO\n\nSources: \n\nhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LtWuqwO6nOk&pp=ygUNZWtvaCBmZW50YW55bA%3D%3D\n\nhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2rvFfbI3nmI&t=173s&pp=ygUMV1NKIGZlbnRhbnls\n\nhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lmxF2owm3Gg&t=96s&pp=ygUMQkJDIGZlbnRhbnls
