I Survived Cancer, Twice - with Mackenzi #Ep 76

Published: Feb. 1, 2022, 1:28 p.m.

This week I speak to Mackenzi Bell-Nugent, a two-time cancer survivor about her experience.
\nMackenzi was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13 and again at 19.
\n
\nDuring this episode, we speak about the change in how she viewed herself and life after being at death's door twice. Mackenzi recounts her experience in high school and how she wasn\u2019t fazed by the superficial teenage drama because she knew what it was like to experience real problems. Mackenzi then recalls her second diagnosis at 19 and how she wanted to give up. She was angered by the fact that she had to deal with this for a second time.

\n

She goes on to speak about the importance of finding people who can relate to your experience \u2013 and how the people she connected with offered her a more empowering take on her situation. Once she discovered a glimmer of hope, she was able to endure the excruciating process of doing a bone marrow transplant. She points to an activity that you can do to help you get excited about your tomorrow.
\nfurthermore, Mackenzi speaks about her love for dance and how she wants to make a difference in the lives of others through movement.
\n
\nStay tuned, this is an episode not to be missed.
