This program increases clinician awareness of noninvasive diagnostic approaches (i.e., echocardiogram) and provides training tools for recognizing and interpreting high-risk features that can affect the diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). The goal is to make an early and accurate diagnosis to prevent the progression of the disease to more advanced stages. Undiagnosed disease progression can delay initiation of potentially effective therapies and referral to PH centers, leading to more significant patient morbidity and mortality.
