William Chaloner and Victor Lustig
William Chaloner\xa0(1650 \u2013 22 March 1699)[1][2]\xa0was a serial\xa0counterfeit\xa0coiner\xa0and\xa0confidence trickster, who was imprisoned in\xa0Newgate Prison\xa0several times and eventually proven guilty of\xa0high treason\xa0by Sir\xa0Isaac Newton, Master of the\xa0Royal Mint. He was hanged on the gallows at\xa0Tyburn\xa0on 22 March 1699.[1][3]
