Its test on 30 October 1961 remains the most powerful\xa0explosive\xa0ever detonated. It was also referred to as\xa0Kuzma's mother\xa0(Russian:\xa0\u041a\u0443\u0301\u0437\u044c\u043a\u0438\u043d\u0430 \u043c\u0430\u0301\u0442\u044c,\xa0tr.\xa0K\xfaz'kina m\xe1t',\xa0IPA:\xa0[\u02c8kus\u02b2k\u02b2\u026an\u0259 \u02c8mat\u02b2]),[4]\xa0possibly referring to\xa0First secretary\xa0Nikita Khrushchev's promise to\xa0show the United States a Kuzma's mother\xa0(an\xa0idiom\xa0roughly translating to "We'll show you!") at a 1960 session of\xa0United Nations General Assembly.[5][6]
