Times Beach
Times Beach\xa0is a\xa0ghost town\xa0in\xa0St. Louis County,\xa0Missouri, United States, 17 miles (27\xa0km) southwest of\xa0St. Louis\xa0and 2 miles (3\xa0km) east of\xa0Eureka. Once home to more than two thousand people, the town was completely evacuated early in 1983 due to\xa0TCDD\u2014also known as\xa0dioxin\u2014contamination. It was the largest civilian exposure to this compound in the history of the US.
