Robert Hanssen
Robert Philip Hanssen\xa0(born April 18, 1944) is an American former\xa0Federal Bureau of Investigation\xa0(FBI)\xa0double agent\xa0who spied for\xa0Soviet\xa0and Russian intelligence services against the United States from 1976 to 2001. His\xa0espionage\xa0was described by the\xa0Department of Justice\xa0as "possibly the worst intelligence disaster in U.S. history."[3]\xa0Hanssen is currently serving 15 consecutive\xa0life sentences\xa0without parole at\xa0ADX Florence, a federal\xa0supermax prison\xa0near\xa0Florence, Colorado.
