Principality of Sealand
The\xa0Principality of Sealand, more commonly known as\xa0Sealand, is a\xa0micronation\xa0that claims\xa0Roughs Tower, an offshore platform located in the\xa0North Sea\xa0approximately 12 kilometres (7.5\xa0mi) off the coast of\xa0Suffolk, England, as its territory. Roughs Tower is a disused\xa0Maunsell Sea Fort, originally called HM Fort Roughs, built as an anti-aircraft defensive gun platform by the British during\xa0World War II.[3][4]
