Juan Pujol Garcia\xa0MBE\xa0(14 February 1912 \u2013 10 October 1988), also known as\xa0Joan Pujol Garcia, was a Spanish spy who acted as a\xa0double agent\xa0loyal to Great Britain against\xa0Nazi Germany\xa0during\xa0World War II, when he relocated to Britain to carry out fictitious spying activities for the Germans. He was given the codename\xa0Garbo\xa0by the British; their German counterparts codenamed him\xa0Alaric\xa0and referred to his non-existent spy network as "Arabal".
