Ghost hunting is a\xa0fringe\xa0pseudoscience\xa0wherein its adherents visit and investigate\xa0locations\xa0that are reported to be haunted by\xa0ghosts. Typically, a ghost hunting team will attempt to collect evidence that they see as supportive of\xa0paranormal\xa0activity.\xa0Ghost hunters\xa0often use a variety of electronic devices: the\xa0EMF meter; digital\xa0thermometer; handheld and static\xa0digital\xa0video cameras, such as\xa0thermographic\xa0(or\xa0infrared) and\xa0night vision; digital\xa0audio recorder; and computer. Traditional techniques such as conducting\xa0interviews\xa0and\xa0researching\xa0the\xa0history\xa0of a site are also employed. Some ghost hunters refer to themselves as a\xa0paranormal investigator.[1]
Ghost hunting has been heavily criticized for its total absence of\xa0scientific method; no scientific body has ever been able to confirm the existence of ghosts.[2][3]\xa0Ghost hunting is considered a pseudoscience by a vast majority of educators, academics, science writers, and sceptics
