Erik Jan Hanussen
Erik Jan Hanussen, born\xa0Hermann Steinschneider\xa0(2 June 1889, in\xa0Vienna\xa0\u2013 25 March 1933, in\xa0Berlin), was an\xa0Austrian\xa0Jewish publicist,\xa0charlatan\xa0and\xa0clairvoyant\xa0performer. Acclaimed in his lifetime as a\xa0hypnotist,\xa0mentalist,\xa0occultist, and\xa0astrologer, Hanussen was active in\xa0Weimar Republic\xa0Germany\xa0and also at the beginning of\xa0Nazi Germany. He is said to have instructed\xa0Adolf Hitler\xa0in performance and the achievement of dramatic effect.[1]
