Boudica's Rebellion
Boudica\xa0or\xa0Boudicca\xa0(/\u02c8bu\u02d0d\u026ak\u0259/,\xa0Latinised\xa0as\xa0Boadicea\xa0or\xa0Boudicea/bo\u028ad\u026a\u02c8si\u02d0\u0259/, and known in\xa0Welsh\xa0as\xa0Buddug\xa0[\u02c8b\u0268\u031e\xf0\u0268\u031e\u0261])[1][2]\xa0was a queen of the\xa0British\xa0Celtic\xa0Iceni\xa0tribe who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the\xa0Roman Empire\xa0in AD 60 or 61, and died shortly after its failure. She is sometimes considered a British folk hero.
