Anton Szandor LaVey[3]\xa0(born\xa0Howard Stanton Levey; April 11, 1930 \u2013 October 29, 1997) was an American author, musician, and\xa0occultist.[4]\xa0He was the founder of the\xa0Church of Satan\xa0and the religion of\xa0LaVeyan Satanism. He authored several books, including\xa0The Satanic Bible,\xa0The Satanic Rituals,\xa0The Satanic Witch,\xa0The Devil's Notebook, and\xa0Satan Speaks!\xa0In addition, he released three albums, including\xa0The Satanic Mass,\xa0Satan Takes a Holiday, and\xa0Strange Music. He played a minor on-screen role and served as technical advisor for the 1975 film\xa0The Devil's Rain[5]\xa0and served as host and narrator for\xa0Nick Bougas' 1989\xa0mondo film\xa0Death Scenes.[6]
