Aleister Crowley
Aleister Crowley\xa0(/\u02c8\xe6le\u026ast\u0259r\xa0\u02c8kro\u028ali/; born\xa0Edward Alexander Crowley; 12 October 1875 \u2013 1 December 1947) was an English\xa0occultist,\xa0ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. He founded the religion of\xa0Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the\xa0\xc6on of Horus\xa0in the early 20th century. A prolific writer, he published widely over the course of his life.
