HST060: Black Dog of the Veteran Emotion with Joey Utah

Published: Feb. 21, 2021, 1:33 p.m.

Joey grew up along the shores of New Jersey and always had a drive to work hard and was taught at a young age the true value of the "almighty buck." By age 6, he was waking up at 6 am every weekend to help his father make extra income for the family by selling candles at flea markets in New York City.
\n
\nAfter failing out of college his first go-around, he enlisted for the U.S. Air Force in 2010. He was given the job of Security Forces (military police). He was promoted early, received countless awards, learned how to shoot some cool guns, and yet the lifelong friendships and the amazing people he met are what he is most grateful for.
\n
\nThe military also taught him what being a good listener and an effective communicator meant. He takes great pride in that skillset and happens to believe they are essential for any business relationship to succeed.
