Protecting our natural environment. Sounds like a good thing to do, right? But proposals for a protected area are sometimes met with mixed reaction. People might be worried that the way they use the land will have to change. It's interesting then that a proposed protected area now being considered in Central Newfoundland was an idea that came from local people. Indian Arm Brook is near Campbellton in Central Newfoundland. Consultations start this week on the idea of a protected area there.
