A church on the Port au Port Peninsula is getting a bit of a makeover this fall. Our Lady of Mercy Heritage Church is no longer used as a place of worship. Construction on the building was completed nearly 100 years ago, making it one of the province's oldest wooden structures. In recent years, the paint has been peeling, and the church building was looking worse for wear. Now, the committee that owns the property is fixing it up.
