The thing about artists is that they see the world with different eyes than most of us. Take Alli Johnston, for example. She took notice of what was left of an old bridge that used to connect Exploits Islands in Central Newfoundland. And, where most of us might see only rusty old rebar, she drew inspiration for art.\tThe result is an installation of textile art called "The Bridge." It opened at the Craft Council gallery in St. John's last week.
