Contessa also known as Contessa UV is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer who has become known for her dark and bassy sound. Contessa's vibe is unmistakable; whether it be deep progressive at a festival sunrise, or hard techno in an after hours warehouse. Contessa is the co-founder and organizer of Hollywood's Sunday night weekly event, Sunday Sanctuary. Founded in 2015, Sunday Sanctuary is devoted to underground techno and deep house, showcasing both local and international talent.
Contessa has signed multiple tracks to the UK based label, and appears on the albums DTLA (Deep Tech Los Angeles) Volume 1,2 and 3. DTLA has been highly successful, hitting Number 1 on Beatport all 3 times. Contessa’s work has been supported by numerous DJ’s, including Steve Lawler, Riva Star, Pirupa, Sirus Hood, Henry Saiz and Him_Self_Her.
