Eye Self’s sets are diverse and intimate, bringing high energy and positive vibes to the dancefloor. With an appreciation for styles ranging from tech house to deep tech, minimal tech to funk, and afro beats to indie dance, his gift for intertwining them all is uncanny. He has an ability to generate a party atmosphere, inspire joy and inclusion, and create an energetic dance floor in any scenario.
His love for music led him to his first pair of Technics SL-1200’s in 2003, and ever since then, his passion was revealed. While living in San Francisco, it was in 2008 that his career in music began to flourish, and he fell in love with house and techno music. He has since been crafting his personal expression through DJing the genre while maintaining a healthy relationship with his roots in hip-hop, reggae, and drum’n’bass.
He was involved in the setup and management of The Kazbah (Burning Man camp) and organized events in Northern California (San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento), Denver and Hawaii. Eye Self has performed at Burning Man, Pure Vision, CASTxOFF, and other events. He is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
