You can learn what it\\u2019s like to be a television weatherperson during a weeklong virtual career workshop from WCNC Charlotte.
\\nOn this bonus episode of the Carolina Weather Group, James Brierton talks with WCNC Charlotte Brand Manager Stephanie Mackey about the station\\u2019s Pathways initiatives.
\\nWCNC Charlotte is making a difference for high school and college students by hosting a series of educational sessions to give a first-hand look at what it's like working at a local television station. LEARN MORE: https://wcnc.com/pathways
\\nThe staff at WCNC Charlotte, including TV meteorologist Chris Mulcahy, will have multiple sessions throughout the week starting June 6, covering what a student would learn in a day of shadowing someone in a local newsroom, on a sales team, or marketing the station.
\\nDifferent departments will outline their jobs, what it took for them to get to where they are, and what students should do to prepare themselves for a similar career. There will also be Q&A sessions with the experts
\\nAll the remote job shadow presentations are free to attend. Each session is one hour.
