We welcome in the Director of Corporate Relations with the American Cancer Society, Lena Spotleson who also makes time to be the Head JV Girls Basketball Coach for North High School in Arizona.\\xa0

Lena brings to the show a competitive edge and level of fortitude that we are fortunate to be able to learn from, while also providing personal insight into how her life was changed forever 15 years ago.

A born and bred competitor who, through the game of basketball, learned how to handle setbacks and defeats in ways where she knew she had to simply keep on going, no matter what, and get the job done. Those lessons from basketball were crucial when life handed her the most difficult of challenges in the form of a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis.\\xa0

Lena offers insight into the very mindset that supported her through times when others may have chosen to succumb to the moment. We also learn about striving for a proactive approach during adversity in how you choose to search for answers and refuse to be left in the dark. Finally, we learn how we can use our experiences to inspire and impact others by leaning on our hardships when coaching and mentoring others.

Be sure to head to www.cancer.org to learn more about the American Cancer Society and the work they do towards cancer research and supporting those impacted by cancer as well.\\xa0
