Happy New Year everyone.\\xa0 This is the first mix of 2023, a year in which I hope to be a lot more active than recent times.\\xa0 Signs are positive, I actually enjoyed the search process for new music for the first time in a fair while.\\xa0 There are more and more releases but the amount of good stuff is about the same.\\xa0 That means an ever decreasing hit rate which can be draining and takes some of the fun and excitement out of listening to new stuff.\\xa0 Maybe it's the beautiful weather we've had down here over Xmas, but I enjoyed having a good old rummage this week.

I'd say overall this at chilled end of the spectrum, especially the first hour.\\xa0 The highlight for me was finding an old classic I haven't heard for years and playing three mixes from it.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out recently.\\xa0 It always blows me away to hear people say that my mixes form a backdrop to their lives and invoke memories of both happy and sad times.\\xa0 Imagine how inspiring it is to hear that from people all over the world that I've never even met!\\xa0 You've no idea how proud I am of my listeners and followers.\\xa0 I have a huge amount of respect for you going off the beaten path to have found me in the first place, and then to keep coming back.\\xa0 Obviously I'm biased but I think we all share an amazing taste in music!\\xa0 I love that so many of you have joined me on this musical journey over the years as the style changes with the times. \\xa0
