An Ohio State economics professor recently completed a study that attempted to assign how much value a 5-star recruit brings to a college football program. On this Buckeye Talk episode, that professor, Trevon Logan, joins Doug Lesmerises and Nathan Baird to talk about why he studied that and what this study might contribute to the discussion about whether college athletes should be paid.\nIn one way, the study showed why a 5-star recruit might be worth more than $600,000 to a program. In another way, it showed why a 5-star recruit might have a lower value of $200,000 to a program like Ohio State. The guys went straight to the source on this one.\nAlso, Doug and Nathan talked about the latest OSU recruit, the 17th verbal commitment to the Class of 2021, as Kentucky defensive back Jantzen Dunn said he'll be a Buckeye.\nThanks for listening to Buckeye Talk.\n See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.\nLearn more about your ad choices.
