PSALMS 40

\n

4 Blessed is the one

\n

who trusts in the\xa0Lord,

\n

who does not look to the\nproud,

\n

to those who turn aside to\nfalse gods.

\n

5 Many,\xa0Lord\xa0my\nGod,

\n

are the wonders you have\ndone,

\n

the things you planned for\nus.

\n

None can compare with you;

\n

were I to speak and tell\nof your deeds,

\n

they would be too many to\ndeclare.

\n

6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire\u2014

\n

but my ears you have\nopened\u2014

\n

burnt offerings and sin\nofferings\xa0you did not require.

\n

7 Then I said, \u201cHere I am, I have come\u2014

\n

it is written about me in\nthe scroll.

\n

8 I desire to do your will, my God;

\n

your law is within my\nheart.\u201d

\n
