PSALMS 27

\n

1The\xa0Lord\xa0is\nmy light and my salvation\u2014

\n

whom shall I fear?

\n

The\xa0Lord\xa0is the stronghold of my life\u2014

\n

of whom shall I be afraid?

\n

2When the wicked advance against me

\n

to devour\xa0me,

\n

it is my enemies and my foes

\n

who will stumble and fall.

\n

3Though an army besiege me,

\n

my heart will not fear;

\n

though war break out against me,

\n

even then I will be confident.

\n

4One thing I ask from the\xa0Lord,

\n

this only do I seek:

\n

that I may dwell in the house of\nthe\xa0Lord

\n

all the days of my life,

\n

to gaze on the beauty of the\xa0Lord

\n

and to seek him in his temple.

\n

5For in the day of trouble

\n

he will keep me safe in his\ndwelling;

\n

he will hide me in the shelter of\nhis sacred tent

\n

and set me high upon a rock.
