Luis Severino is going from the Yankees to the Mets on a 1-year deal. Gio thinks it’s a smart signing and could be a huge bargain at $13 million. But is this a sign of what we’re going to get in the first year of David Stearns? Steve Cohen already said there will not be big names on the team and big money signings. We also talked about the potential for Pete Alonso to be traded during the season. The Mets might have to give him a 10-year contract if he has a great season this year. Boomer loves Alonso but if the Mets are bad next year he would trade him for a ton of assets. Maybe the Mets could trade him to a contender during the season and bring him back. Gio thinks the Yankees are going to have a big offseason as they seem to be talking to the Padres about Juan Soto. He also thinks the Yankees will get Yamamoto. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Rob Saleh talking about the 21-day practice window for Aaron Rodgers. Mike McDaniel made an attempt at a joke that fell flat yet again. Shannon Sharpe talked about Megan Thee Stallion and what he would do to her if they dated. We tried to figure out what he meant by his sayings. In the final segment of the hour, Gio wants Dua Lipa to come into the studio since she’s in NYC in a cab right now. The radio station Holiday party is in our cafeteria.
