Welcome to spooky season, where we get ghosts in our brains that make us incapable of remembering the name of the book or half of the characters!\xa0 So so sorry, "Ted"!\xa0 OooooooOOOOOoooo spooooky!\xa0 We love Halloween here at Bodice Tipplers so we decided to give you not one but two Halloween books - the first is Devil May Care\xa0by Elizabeth Peters.\xa0 The second you'll have to wait to find out about - expect it at the end of the month.

Ellie is a young... what does she do again?\xa0 Anyway a young lady engaged to a twit who housesits for her aunt.\xa0 Donald is the neighbor's son.\xa0 Some ghosts appear by various means and occupations.\xa0\xa0THE DEVIL IS THE DEVIL. \xa0 I cannot stress enough how surprised I was by this -\xa0the actual devil makes an appearance in this book.\xa0 Yes, that is a spoiler.\xa0 Don't worry, I already told everybody I know.\xa0 THE DEVIL.\xa0 Ol' Splitfoot!\xa0 Lucifer!\xa0 The Adversary!\xa0 So, implied is that it has the kind of witchcraft that most of the modern witches I know would not appreciate.\xa0 Oh and there's some expected 70's homophobia and a lot of people talk about what's now the Washington Football Team.\xa0 Mostly it's\xa0the actual devil.\xa0\xa0Just when you think these books hold no more surprises for you.\xa0 That's when they get you.\xa0 (And by they I suppose I mean Asmodeus and Beelzebub and Mephistopheles and....)
