This week, we speak to a US military operator who had an unforgettable encounter while on watch, one fateful night near the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Sitting on a ridge, this soldier spotted something on his thermal that he could not explain. The new night vision technology the army was testing out at that time had the capability to see ripples in clothing from 500 yards and what he saw, he'll never forget. Across an expanse, a massive human-like heat signature stood up and it was at least as tall as the 14ft tree it stood next to.
